Karen McQuade, head of the guidance department at West Boylston Middle/High School, said Little struggled to find his direction as a teen. After moving to Maine to be with family, then returning to West Bolyston and joining the Army, Little made a huge turnaround, McQuade said. "He really looked like he had found his niche and found his direction." Little and another soldier were killed May 8, 2007, in Salman Pak, Iraq, by a roadside bomb.
