 He was lost at sea in MAR of 2005. Bruce J, Burgess was just officially declared dead by the U.S. Navy, this year (2010). 

NCIS Case# 28MAR05-SWND-0229-7MNA Burgess was last seen on his ship on the morning of March 1, 2005, in San Diego Bay. Dental x-rays
are available for comparison if needed.
