 Jon served in the US Army from 7 August 2007 to 2018 as a 19D Cavalry Scout with B Co 1/82 Cavalry in Woodburn. He was Honorably Discharged at the rank of Specialist (E4). Jon earned the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal w/1 bronze service star, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/M device and the Army Service Ribbon.
