From Martinez Esteban 06/19/06:

Bennie J. Washington was a good friend of mine, I served with him in Ft. Riley, Kansas, and during my term there we were both deployed to Kuwait in 2002. I remember hanging out with Bennie, along with a lot of our friends. He was a jokester very clever and humorous. He always made people laugh, even if it was at his own expense. I didn't re-enlist, so when I finished my term I left the military. A few months later my same unit was deployed to Iraq. I don't know what would have happened if I would have re-enlisted. Today is June 19th, 2006 my 25th birthday, I want to send my deepest sympothies to Bennies family, and want them to know that he left an impression in my life, and I know that he will be dearly missed.
