From Aaron Miller 07/31/07:

'Benny' and I spent Buckner (summer between freshman and sophomore year at West Point) together in the same squad. Benny grew up on a farm and started in the enlisted ranks. He was the type of guy that wanted the most out of life. he appreciated the opportunities that the Army gave him as far as travel and education (West Point). Benny always did his job and like to work hard on duty and have lots of fun off duty. Last night, Sean Kilbride (another West Point classmate) and I, joked about Benny wanting to drive 14-hours straight to see the Indianapolis 500. Up Friday and back Saturday. That was the type of guy Benny was. Once he had something on his mind he did it. Benny, thanks for all of the great times. You will be missed.
