Iraq. Rowe died as a result of an enemy sniper attack.
He was serving with the 1174th Transportation Company, out of Dresden Tennessee. He was command directed to go with that unit approx 3 to 4 weeks before his actual unit of assignment the 771st Maint Co. out of Columbia - Hohenwald, Tennessee was activated. He was a Medic, generator mechanic, and a truck driver. |

Roger D. Rowe loved spending time with his four children and seven grandchildren in Bon Aqua, Tenn. Second on the list was working with wood -- he'd planned to build a clubhouse for his grandchildren when he got back from Iraq. Rowe was killed July 9 by a sniper near Baghdad while serving with the National Guard. |
