SGT Chase A. Haag was born on 11 June 1984 in Portland, Oregon.

SGT Haag entered the United States Army as an Infantryman on 20 January 2004. He graduated from Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Benning, Georgia.. Upon graduation from AIT, he was assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry, 1st BCT, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

SGT Haag’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, The Purple Heart Medal, National Defense Service Medal, The Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Combat Infantryman Badge.

SGT Haag is survived by his mother, Bonnie Gilkison of Milwaukie, Oregon and his father, Frank Haag of Portland, Oregon.
